Introduction  

A type of visual defect where patients perceive linear objects as wavy, curved, or rounded. The disease is a symptom of problem with retina especially of macula.
 

It can be perceived as:

  • Flat things may look rounded.
  • Macropsia- Objects appear larger than they are
  • Micropsia- Objects appear smaller than they are.
  • Shapes and face may appear distorted.
  • Straight objects appear wavy.
