Vestibular nystagmus that occurs after reaching the limit of compensatory eye movement, at about 50 degrees during continuous rotation in one direction. It consists of a fast and slow phase. The rapid step resets the eye to start another slow aspect of the right Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex.
