An inflammatory lens complication involving the cornea, limbus, and conjunctiva. It often results from extended wear of rigid gas permeable contact lenses. It manifests as an ill-defined, elevated, semi-opaque limbal mass with neovascularization (superficial and deep) and lateral epithelial staining. With a localized conjunctival injection, most patients report seeing a white spot on the cornea.
