A medical term to describe eyelid misdirection towards the globe. It is marked by eyelash introversion such that the lashes touch against the conjunctiva or cornea. The anomaly is due to inflammation, trauma, agenesis of the eyelid, autoimmune conditions, infection, and congenital abnormalities. It’s a common abnormality where the misdirected lashes can occupy a small segment or be entirely distributed across the lid.
