An infection or disease that invades tissues and which can harm the central nervous system, particularly in infants. It is due to a sporozoan of the genus Toxoplasma (T. Gondii) and affects a large proportion of the global population. One becomes infected through eating undercooked meat, getting into contact with cat feces, or from a mother to a child during gestation.
