A dull, deep occipital pain arising from systemic poisoning or related to illness. The disorder can result from toxic substances such as nitroglycerine, benzol, carbon monoxide poisoning, excessive alcohol, etc. It may also be experienced by patients with diabetes, kidney disease, metabolic conditions, and other systemic diseases.
