A state-of-the-art imaging technology that combines a high-speed detector and a frequency swept light source, to detect the interference signal quickly. Its faster acquisition time and deeper penetration allow for the visualization of vitreous, choroid and retinal areas behind dense preretinal hemorrhages. It represents a significant improvement over the spectral-domain technology, i.e., spectral-domain-optical coherence tomography.
