Skin cancer that begins in the squamous cells which form the middle and outer skin layers. It is usually malignant and a rare cause of blepharitis. It arises from exposure to ultraviolet radiation for long periods and mostly causes cancers in the conjunctiva, cervix, vagina, head, anus, and neck.
