Bilateral, interpalpebral degeneration of the conjunctiva and cornea, marked by translucent, fine, amber spherules of varying size in the superficial corneal stroma, sub-epithelium, epithelium, and Bowman's membrane. It is most common in men and is divided into primary corneal type, secondary corneal type, and conjunctival type.
