A test to determine an imbalance in the combination of sensory inputs from both eyes using binocular rivalry, or to measure the degree of ocular dominance using stereo-disparity. An overcorrection of approximately A +2.00DS is added separately to each eye’s final prescription. The non-dominant eye is the one that tolerates the over-correction.
