A technique that helps to detect aqueous humor leaks from the conjunctiva, sclera, or cornea, after trauma or surgery. It is also used to screen for various corneal disorders including corneal perforation, corneal degeneration, and corneal post-trauma. The test uses sodium fluorescein dye, which is instilled into the cornea.
