Recurrent Corneal Erosion

A condition marked by the frequent breakdown of the corneal epithelium. The outer layer is unable to attach to the epithelial basement membrane below firmly. It can lead to severe pain, lacrimation, photophobia and visual changes due to corneal scarring.
