A condition arising from the frequent or prolonged use of a vasoconstricting drug (eye drops). It causes permanent enlargement of the blood vessels and upon discontinuation or the subsiding of the drug effects, the initial symptoms (red eye) become worse. It’s one of the significant reasons for eye drops addictions.
