A type of congenital, anomalous dichromatism or trichromatism deficiency, marked by reduced sensitivity to red. L-cones are present but defective and extra red color is required to match the color spectrum with the affected people collectively called ‘red-green color blind.’ Such people have trouble distinguishing between red, green, brown, or orange.
