Depigmentation in the hair of the head, eyelashes, or eyebrows. It is greying or whitening of hair due to a lack of melanin in the affected areas' hair shafts. It may also arise from damaged hair follicles, an inherited defect, or autoimmune destruction of the hair's pigment cells.
