A conjunctival disorder associated with wearing contact lenses and ocular prostheses. It's an allergic reaction causing the upper tarsal conjunctiva, the inner side of the eyelid, to get irritated, swollen and red. The nodules arise when the eyelid underside rubs over a foreign body such as a contact lens or a suture.
