An illusion of the rhythmic oscillation of the visual environment due to a central eye movement disorder. Failure of the bilateral vestibular may cause damage to the vestibular-ocular reflex, resulting in the inability to stabilize an image on the retina. Due to the visual disturbance, objects seem to suddenly bob up and down when a person is running or walking.
