The specialty that deals with visual symptoms arising from diseases of the brain. It combines two specialties namely, neurology (nervous system issues) and ophthalmology (eye problems). Practitioners complete medical school and a residency in either ophthalmology or neurology, followed by a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology.
