A rare chronic autoimmune neuromuscular abnormality, characterized by the skeletal muscles' weakness and fatigability without atrophy. The disease arises from a communication breakdown between nerve cells and muscles, occasioned by acetylcholine dysfunction at neuromuscular junctions. It prevents muscle contractions leading to muscular weakness.
