A rare, congenital, autosomal recessive disease defined by a smaller spherically shaped lens. The irregular shape increases the lens refractive power resulting in high myopia. The condition may be linked to many disorders including ectopia lentis, glaucoma, Peter's anomaly, Weill–Marchesani syndrome and Marfan syndrome.
