Loss of eyebrows (superciliary madarosis) or eyelashes (ciliary madarosis) due to congenital reasons or infection. It can cause scarring or non-scarring and is a sign of a complex systemic disease or dermatological disorder. Milphosis describe the loss of eyelashes alone.
