Optical illusion founded on Gestalt’s convergence and divergence principles, where the lines (of the same length) at the sides appear to direct the eye inward or outward due to a misapplication of size constancy scaling. The result is a false impression or perspective cue where the inwardly pointing arrowheads seem larger.
