A clinical disorder linked to symptoms of dryness and discomfort both in patients with dry eye syndrome and contact lens wearers. Dry eyes can cause insufficient lubrication which is aggravated by conditions such as inadequate contact lens surface lubricity, irregular blinking patterns and adverse environmental factors.
