Abnormal white, yellow, or pale retinal reflection in one or both eyes, resembling an eyeshine. It often occurs in children as an indication of retinoblastoma. It is also associated with other diseases, including congenital cataract, retinopathy of prematurity, corneal scarring, Coats' disease, retinal detachment, ciliary body melanoma, ocular toxocariasis, retrolental fibroplasia, Norrie disease, etc.
