A negative lenticular magnifying lens whose desired power is provided by a convex (bowl). The bowl has a diameter of approximately 40 mm and protrudes from a much flatter carrier curve. A lenticular bowl is an aspheric lens design used to house a high-powered plus prescription that can be used in the treatment of cataracts. It is lighter than a conventional aspheric lens but does not offer much peripheral vision.
