A color vision exam initially used to recruit sailors for shipboard duties requiring color vision. It used to screen professionals in many fields which need the correct colored signals recognition. These include specific areas in railways, maritime, navy, air force and Civil Aviation Authority. The test involves the identification of a set of colored lights, mainly white, green, yellow and red. It checks for red-green deficiencies.
