A small conical-shaped body at the medial canthus (the inner corner) of the eye. It has a non-keratinized epithelium similar to the conjunctival epithelium. It is composed of skin tissues, hair follicles and glands, including the sebaceous, sudoriferous and accessory lacrimal glands. The body secretes the whitish fluid that continually builds up in this region.
