The systematic plotting of the field of vision which involves moving a stimulus from a subthreshold (non-seeing) to a suprathreshold (seeing) area with the area the object is first sighted, such as in Goldmann kinetic perimetry. A typical standardized speed for stimulus movement of 2-4 degrees per second is applied.
