An eye condition associated with diabetes. It is characterized by foveal avascular zone (FAZ) abnormalities, including irregularities or enlargement, perfusion loss to the capillary network encircling the FAZ, microaneurysms and nonperfusion areas in the macula. It can cause decreased vision.
