A group of rare conditions characterized by an abnormal inner corneal layer where cells are lost as they move from the cornea to the iris causing corneal inflammation and a distorted iris. This group of conditions includes corectopia, polycoria, Cogan-Reese syndrome, Chandler syndrome, and progressive iris atrophy. Cell movement can prevent drainage of fluid, causing glaucoma.
