Neurons of the secondary visual cortex. They receive input from the primary visual cortex interblobs and convey it to the inferior temporal cortex in the parvocellular pathway. The Parvocellular neurons display a low contrast sensitivity, low temporal resolution and high spatial resolution. It makes the parvocellular section of the visual system well suited for feature analysis in the visible world.
