A congenital condition characterized by an abnormal build-up of excess cerebrospinal fluid in the brain's ventricles probably caused by damage to the abducens nerves or obstruction that prevents fluid from draining. The result is unnecessary increased pressure on the brain's tissue, which can lead to brain damage.
