Alternative color vision test for specific occupations in the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and the Civil Aviation Authority in the United Kingdom. The Type A is also an approved color test for European Economic Community airline pilots. The standardized examination procedure involves the presentation of green, white and red signal lights subtending about one minute of arc at a distance of 6 meters (20 feet).
