A visual disorder characterized by blindness or vision loss in half the field of vision, often to the vertical midline. The condition is usually associated with trauma, brain, tumor, or stroke, which affects both eyes on the right side or the left of the visual field. The extent of vision loss depends on the size and location of the brain lesion.
