Tear-making glands located in the eyelids that comprise of the lacrimal, Krause, Meibomian, Wolfring, and Zeis glands. They are involved in the production of the tear film’s lipid, lacrimal and mucoid layers. A dysfunction of tear glands can lead to dry eye.
