Corneal infection where greyish-white, coarse ulcers with feathery edges on the retina invade the ocular surface. It is caused by fungi that include Fusarium species, Aspergillus species, and Candida species, among others. It can develop quickly following contact lens use or eye injury and can cause blindness.
