A condition similar to Stargardt disease characterized by flecks throughout the retina, and presents in people in their 40’s and 50’s. It is a common form of genetic macular dystrophy in childhood due to mutations in the ABCA4 gene with poor visual outcomes, loss of color vision, and photophobia in some patients.
