Accumulation of lymphocytes predominantly in the inferior fornix. They appear as tiny dome-shaped nodules, pale at the top and redder at the base, without a central vessel. They arise in conjunctivitis caused by atypical bacteria, viruses and toxic reactions, including some topical medications.
