A disorder in overweight, elderly male patients characterized by a loose, floppy, rubbery upper eyelid. It is also easily averted in sleep, painful, and associated with ptosis of lateral eyelashes, punctate epithelial keratopathy, and chronic papillary conjunctivitis of the upper palpebral conjunctiva.
