A test that measures the electrical activity produced by a variety of retinal cell types among them ganglion cells, bipolar and amacrine cells, and photoreceptors (rods and cones). The test diagnoses retinal disorders like congenital stationary night blindness, Leber congenital amaurosis, and cancer-related retinopathy. It can also evaluate retinal toxicity with various drugs besides monitoring progression of disease.
