A test that measures the resting electrical potential between Bruch’s membrane and the cornea, standing potential of the eye, and the interaction between photoreceptors and retinal pigment epithelium. The normal ratio should read 2:1 when the size of the light peak is compared to the dark trough. Hence, an abnormal reading is indicative of an issue. It’s commonly used to confirm Best disease.
