An internal copy designed to reflect the predicted sensation of motor commands. It is the result expected after motor innervation and it enables the brain to estimate the sensory feedback movements and motor adaptation, such as enhancement of gaze stability. Its purpose is to reduce cognitive load by reducing sensory processing of incoming neural signals that have been produced by their motor output.
