An inherited autosomal disorder that manifests in little round spots on the retina, creating a honeycomb design on the optic disc and macula area. The abnormality symptomatically resembles dry AMD, but the two differ genetically. It causes gradual loss of vision unless there is abnormal blood vessel growth and leakage (neovascularization).
