When both eyes have nystagmus with the same direction but display different amplitudes. While eye movements are often the same in both eyes, in dissociated nystagmus, they are dissimilar because of internuclear ophthalmoplegia. Examples of disassociate nystagmus include see-saw nystagmus, end-gaze nystagmus, and convergence-retraction nystagmus.
