An uncommon pituitary gland disorder characterized by unusual thirst and the kidneys’ inability to prevent excretion of large urine amounts. This condition is not related to diabetes because the blood sugar level is normal though both diabetes insipidus and diabetes share the same symptoms of polydipsia (thirst) and polyuria (urinating).
