A corneal disorder marked by an open sore often due to viral, fungal, or bacterial infection. Other potential causes of corneal ulcers include eye trauma, dry eye, vitamin A deficiency, inflammatory disorders, and wearing unsterilized or extended contact lenses wear. It can cause excessive tearing, eye redness, the sensation of a foreign body, eye pain and blurry or worsening vision.
