A computerized diagnostic technique that produces a three-dimensional (3-D) map of the corneal curvature. The map helps to identify problems on the eye surface, including swelling, scarring and disorders like astigmatism. The evaluation is often done before contact lens fitting or a cornea transplant, LASIK and other eye surgeries.
