A pupil response to light entering the other eye. It is used to evaluate the integrity of the midbrain region, the oculomotor nerve, optic nerve and the retina. Abnormalities of the reflex aid in the quick diagnosis of retrobulbar hematoma, intracranial hemorrhage and other emergent disorders.
