A standard method involving one eye at a time to find out if there is any problem in the visual field. In confrontation visual field testing, the doctor can move an object into each visual quadrant’s periphery. The doctor covers one eye and allows the other eye’s vision to maintain a steady gaze on a point straight ahead.S/he can then move a finger and let the patient report when they first detect movement at the edge of the visual field.
