A blind spot that appears in the middle of one’s vision, while vision in the surrounding areas remaining normal. It appears as a blurry or distorted, grey or black spot in the patient’s vision. Common causes include disorders of the optic nerve, choroid or retina and presence of a lesion between the chiasm & optic nerve head.
